How to apply
Licensed health professionals and members of the public can apply to serve on a board of a health professional regulatory college. We’re always looking for new applicants and our recruitment process remains open. If you’re interested in applying, you’ll be asked to:
- Answer a short questionnaire
- Provide contact information
- Submit a detailed record of lived, learned and/or professional experience and skills (such as a resume or curriculum vitae)
- Describe why you’re interested in serving as a board member

What to expect after applying
Your application will be added to our database. We review applications on an ongoing basis and as upcoming board vacancies arise, in accordance with our policies (PDF, 284KB).

How we assess applicants
When assessing applicants, we:
- Use a fair, merit-based process (PDF, 121KB) that looks at skills, lived and professional experience
- Consider the needs of the health professional regulatory college, such as the need for a particular perspective or skillset
We also consider suitability indicators and personal attributes relevant to the role of a board member. This includes whether a candidate has knowledge of, experience in, or willingness to learn about:
- Governance
- Health professions regulation
- Public safety and public interest
- Anti-discrimination and Indigenous cultural safety
- Making decisions within a legal mandate (for example, following the guiding principles of the Health Professions and Occupations Act)
