The Oversight Office recruits and assesses candidates for B.C.’s 6 health professional regulatory college boards. We then make recommendations to the Minister of Health, who has the final decision-making authority to appoint board members. 

One of our roles is accepting complaints about:

• The performance or conduct of a health professional regulatory college
• The Health Professions and Occupations Act or its regulations

The Health Professions Discipline Tribunal is an independent tribunal that oversees the discipline process for regulated health professions in B.C. The Discipline Tribunal makes sure the process is fair, effective and in the public interest.
